Construction Superintendent - Commercial GC - Shawnee, KS

We are hiring an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial ground-up projects in the Shawnee, KS area. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring proven general contractor experience managing subcontractors, schedules, and quality from pre-construction through closeout. Restaurant and food service construction experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities- Construction Superintendent

• Direct all daily on-site field operations from pre-construction through project closeout, coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and inspections to maintain schedule
• Develop, enforce, and sequence project schedules; identify delays early and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track
• Enforce OSHA safety standards, conduct regular site inspections and job hazard analyses, and lead subcontractor safety meetings
• Monitor workmanship and inspect completed work against design specifications; resolve deficiencies promptly to minimize rework
• Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and site documentation; serve as the primary on-site contact for project managers, architects, engineers, and owners

Qualifications- Construction Superintendent

• 5 or more years of field experience as a Construction Superintendent or Site Superintendent with a licensed General Contractor on commercial projects
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades simultaneously across ground-up builds
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Proficiency in construction scheduling software such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or Procore
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience considered

Preferred Qualifications- Commercial Site Superintendent

• Ground-up restaurant, food service, or retail construction experience strongly preferred
• OSHA 30 Certification
• First Aid/CPR Certification
• LEED accreditation a plus

Physical Requirements- Construction Superintendent

• Primarily on active construction sites with exposure to outdoor weather conditions year-round
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to navigate active job sites safely at all times
• Local and regional travel required depending on project location; no set remote option
