JOB DESCRIPTION

The Construction Supervisor expertise in managing underground and aerial telecommunications infrastructure, as well as overseeing on-site operations, will be vital to this role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, comprehensive technical knowledge, and a dedicated commitment to safety and operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS-INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING

• Provide supervision, development, leadership, and safety guidelines to all BTS employees.
• Be able to maintain materials and equipment in an organized, clean, and properly functioning condition.
• Demonstrates a strong commitment and dedication to providing excellent customer service in alignment with BTS mission and values.
• Maintain clear and open communication with the management team to address and resolve issues promptly, thereby supporting productivity.
• Supports the brand company's image by consistently demonstrating a professional attitude and appearance.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential for success in this leadership role.
• Assume responsibility for the productivity of jobs, the efficient use of materials and equipment, and the contractual performance of the project.
• Ensure all personnel adhere to project procedures, safety program requirements, and company policies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within telecommunications aerial or underground construction is preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of telecommunications construction, including aerial bucket trucks, excavation equipment, utility lines and poles, and trenching machinery.
• Must be able to read, understand, and interpret engineering and blueprint design plans.
• Proficient in utilizing computer software systems including Penguin Data, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe.
• Plans, organizes, and executes projects in the most efficient and effective manner.
• Effectively monitors progress and delivers updates to leadership regarding various aerial and underground quality assurance projects.
• Proficient in written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• The position involves exposure to outdoor environmental conditions.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the management and offers general assistance to colleagues as needed.

EDUCATION & LICENSES/CERTIFICATES:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License and a safe driving record.

LANGUAGE/MATHEMATICAL SKILLS & REASONING ABILITY

• Must be able to use written and verbal communications in the English language.

REASONING ABILITY & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to work aloft
• Must have manual dexterity and the ability to utilize various hand tools and test equipment.
• Must be able to drive a truck or van including a truck/van with an aerial lift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to type on a computer, and utilize a smart phone to read and update prints.
• Must be able to kneel, crawl, push, pull, bend, stoop, lift and dig.
• Must meet and maintain company's safe weight policy.
