Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Construction Technician / Skilled Construction Worker to work in the Holland, OH area. This position offers a variety of great benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and long-term career growth opportunities.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Technician to join a growing team specializing in commercial, industrial, and residential construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable, hands-on professional who has a strong construction background and can contribute immediately to a variety of projects.
The ideal candidate will possess well-rounded construction experience and be comfortable working independently as well as with a crew. Candidates should have a strong understanding of construction methods, job site safety, and quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
• Perform general construction activities on commercial, industrial, and residential projects• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications• Assist with framing, demolition, remodeling, finish work, and general carpentry• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely• Measure, cut, assemble, and install building materials• Maintain job site cleanliness and organization• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations• Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and team members• Complete projects according to schedule and quality expectations• Identify and communicate potential job site issues or safety concerns
Qualifications
• 5+ years of construction experience preferred• Experience in commercial, industrial, and residential construction environments• Strong understanding of construction practices, tools, and materials• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings• Experience with framing, finish carpentry, remodeling, concrete, or general construction activities preferred• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
Preferred Skills
• Carpentry experience• Remodeling and renovation experience• Commercial construction experience• Equipment operation experience• OSHA certification• Strong problem-solving abilities• Leadership or crew lead experience
