The Content Marketing Specialist II guides and develops the content creation process for Henny Penny.  Their primary duty is to research content and industry trends, develop content strategies, and create content in both print and digital media. They work closely with design and marketing teams to ensure that the content is engaging and consistent across all media platforms.

Additionally, this role is responsible for defining and researching market segments and personas in order to create targeted content that resonates, educates, and creates a favorable brand impression of Henny Penny.

What You’ll Do

As our Content Marketing Specialist II, you will:

  • Lead the content creation process from ideation through delivery
  • Develop and execute content strategies that align to target audiences and business goals
  • Own marketing segmentation, personas, and associated messaging frameworks
  • Research industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging topics to keep content fresh and relevant
  • Produce engaging content across platforms — blogs, email, web, video, print, and social media
  • Write, edit, and proof high‑quality marketing copy
  • Ensure SEO best practices are implemented across all digital content
  • Assist in developing paid ad messaging for PPC and industry advertising
  • Manage content calendars and maintain consistency across all channels
  • Collaborate with internal experts and external partners to support timely project execution
  • Monitor content performance analytics and prepare insight‑driven reports
  • Support content for product launches and strategic initiatives
  • Continually explore new content formats, tools, and technologies
  • Demonstrate company values and expected behaviors in all work
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field with 3–5 years of experience in content marketing, copywriting, or digital content; MBA preferred.
  • Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Proven ability to create content across digital and print platforms
  • Knowledge of SEO and PPC strategy; experience writing ad copy
  • Strong research skills and an understanding of industry/market trends
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite
  • Experience in the foodservice or foodservice equipment industry is a plus
  • Formal training in copywriting, storytelling, or content marketing (Google Ads, CMI University, etc.)
