Job Description
Title: Contents Field Technician
Location: Centerville, UT
We help homeowners and businesses restore their property-and peace of mind-after unexpected damage. As a Contents Field Technician with Paul Davis Restoration, you'll work in homes and commercial properties affected by water, fire, mold, or smoke damage. In this role, you will document, pack, protect, and clean customers' belongings. Items are carefully removed, transported to our facility for cleaning, and then returned to the customer.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, respectful customer service throughout the restoration process
- Pack, move, and protect customers' belongings with care
- Clean and restore items damaged by smoke, fire, or other events
- Document items and work completed during pack-out and cleaning
- Treat customers' homes and property with respect at all times
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned by a supervisor
Required Skills and Abilities
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- No prior experience required - training provided
- Comfortable working in a variety of environments, including extreme temperatures
- Able to lift and move furniture, boxes, and equipment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Able to follow instructions and stay organized
- Willingness to learn and follow proper procedures
- Positive attitude and ability to work well on a team
- Ability to safely use cleaning products and equipment (training provided)
- Able to pass a respirator physical and fit test
Education and Experience
- Knowledge of practices and procedures of water, fire, mold, and asbestos trades preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, solutions, and use of solvents
- High school diploma or equivalent
- IICRC certified in any area is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Heaving lifting (constantly) 5 - 40 pounds, lift (frequently) 20 - 100 pounds
- May involve significant standing/walking/pushing/pulling
- Occasional climbing (ladders, etc.), balancing, crouching, frequent stooping, reaching, kneeling, and handling
- Ability to work in a variety of environments, including confined spaces and outdoor conditions
- Comfortable with varying weather and noise levels
- Able to stand, sit, and move between job sites for extended periods
- Capable of performing repetitive hand and arm movements
- Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and vehicles
