Job Description:
The Continuous Improvement Engineer focuses on improving the outcomes of various processes so that, by mapping all the inputs and outputs of a defined business process. This individual is able to recommend different means to improve efficiency, reduce cost or increase customer satisfaction. The Continuous Improvement Engineer develops and measures standard metrics, develops a project plan for implementing improvements and monitors the new process to ensure it works as intended, works with front-line staff and trains employees on continuous improvement subjects. This position will be located in our facility in Greenville, South Carolina.

What you will do:
- Analyze and report quantitative data to drive problem solving methods to anticipate potential problems and optimize key metrics for business objectives.
- Generate and review Standard Operating Procedure's (SOPs) to ensure compliance with standards for performance and capacity measurements as defined by company standards.
- Ensures Continuous Improvement of factory performance in the function areas of safety, quality, service, environment, and cost with visualization tools.
- Utilize defined manufacturing tools to assist in preparing detailed layouts of plant facilities to optimize material handling and product flow.
- Position will act as the primary resource for investigating, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for any process problems.
- Work to identify and drive continuous improvement actions throughout manufacturing processes by participating, leading and coordinating successful Kaizen events. Monitor and assess the effective sustainment of standard work to reduce total delivered costs and improve returns on invested capital.
- Coach and train operational supervisors and staff to apply, support, sustain and develop a Continuous Improvement culture.
- Create control plans for improvement efforts such that the improvements gained are sustainable.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field with experience in continuous improvement.
- Must be proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis. Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform such as PowerBI, PowerApps, PowerAutomate is a plus
- Problem solving skills
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S and Six Sigma to be applied to ITW methodologies (In-lining, MRD et al)
- Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Communication skills and teamwork
- Work under minimal supervision and able to use critical thinking skills to prioritize activities and projects.

- The ability to stand or walk for an entire 8-hour shift
- Report on site for core business hours 5 days per week
