Position Overview:A skilled Director of Nursing (DON) is needed for an 8-week contract assignment in Parkersburg, WV. This role oversees nursing operations, ensures high-quality resident care, and supports leadership within the facility. Ideal for an experienced nurse leader who can step in quickly and provide strong clinical and administrative guidance.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to nursing staff
Monitor quality of care and implement improvement plans as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
Manage staffing, scheduling, and workflow
Address resident/family concerns promptly and professionally
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
Requirements:
Active RN license (WV or compact)
Previous DON or nursing leadership experience required
Strong understanding of long-term care or skilled nursing standards
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to start quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment
