Position Overview
PsyPhyCare is prepared to provide a highly qualified Contract Physician Assistant (PA-C) to deliver comprehensive outpatient medical services in Gallup, New Mexico. The Physician Assistant will provide direct patient care in collaboration with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.
Scope of Services
The Contract Physician Assistant will:
Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions within scope of practice
Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory and diagnostic studies
Prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations and established clinical guidelines
Provide preventive care, health education, and chronic disease management
Perform minor procedures consistent with training and scope of practice
Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation within the electronic health record system
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals
Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Active, unrestricted state license
Current DEA registration if prescriptive authority is required
Current BLS certification
Clinical experience in outpatient or primary care settings preferred
