Job Requirements

Education Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program or equivalent.

Certifications Requirements:

• BLS and ACLS certification.*
• CRT or RRT credential.*
• Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of pulmonary therapy experience.*
• Proficiency with Updraft Therapy and Blood gases.*
• Experience operating ventilators, BIPAP/CPAP, and performing EKGs.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work independently and be comfortable being the sole RT if needed.*
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.*
• Physical ability to perform shift duties, including handling emergency clinical situations.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments, including Updraft Therapy and administration of Blood gases.*
• Operate and monitor ventilators, BIPAP/CPAP machines, and perform routine EKGs.*
• Assess patient needs, adjust treatment plans, and document clinical procedures accurately.*
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and modify patient care plans.*
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and state regulations while providing exceptional patient care.
