Description

The purpose of this position is to ensure the execution of timely, professional contract establishment and maintenance for Facilities suppliers, as well as timely updates to the Contract Management System and the Supplier Rate Database to ensure that work is performed according to Publix's scope and standard by approved, licensed and insured individuals or entities and that payments made for services rendered are in accordance with the negotiated terms of the contract.

Required Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent or equivalent experience (if applicable)
  • 2 years' experience working with legal concepts, conducting analysis and problem solving
  • intermediate knowledge and understanding of MS Office software and Internet usage
  • ability and willingness to adjust one's style or approach in response to differing circumstances or to work in ambiguous situations
  • work effectively without close supervision or guidance
  • self-direct work activities and take action on tasks without direction from a supervisor; ability to undertake new tasks as work is completed without being told to do so; ability to use the resources available to complete a task; proactively following through on tasks to ensure appropriate progress is made and the task is completed

  • manage time so that the priority of the activities determines the timing and amount of attention they receive
  • attend to and verify the accuracy and completeness of detailed information in documents or on the computer, such as prices, quantity, weights, lists or data
  • effectively resolve problems; identify and analyze key information from multiple sources; determine the root causes and find solutions to eliminate them; proactively anticipate potential problems and implement or modify systems to prevent their occurrence
  • see and understand the bigger picture of what the organization is, where it needs to go, and how it will get there
  • develop and maintain professional, trusting, positive, and productive working relationships with associates, managers, customers, and vendors
  • to create an environment in which a positive and professional service orientation is evident to internal customers

  • availability to work weekends, holidays and extended hours

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Business or any other analytical discipline
  • 3 years' experience in contract negotiation and/or development
  • any certification through the MCP, NCMA: CFCM, CCCM or CPCM
  • knowledge of Ariba, Sharepoint, and Microsoft Power Apps• knowledge of Publix legal requirements regarding service providers
  • knowledge of Facilities Processes and Procedures
  • knowledge of Facilities Products and Services
  • knowledge of Publix Organizational Structure
