JOB TITLE: Controller

JOB SUMMARY: The Controller will be responsible for oversight of the entire accounting function, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in support of the firm's strategic objectives. This is a hands-on role, and the ideal candidate will have well-rounded accounting experience both as an individual contributor and managing teams. The candidate should have demonstrated success implementing accounting controls and process improvement initiatives. This role will also work closely with leadership to execute on high impact projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, project accounting, revenue recognition and month-end close in accordance with GAAP and other internal methodologies
• Manage preparation of timely and accurate financial statements
• Oversee and strengthen internal controls; identify and implement process improvements
• Oversee audits, reviews, and all corporate tax filings
• Manage preparation of annual reports, licenses/registrations, survey reporting, property tax and other required filings
• Manage A/R collections and A/P processes
• Manage treasury function and provide weekly cash forecasts
• Prepare ancillary analyses on business performance as needed
• Assist with other management reporting and annual budgeting process
• In coordination with CFO, foster the development of a high-performing team built on accountability, trust and collaboration

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 7-10 years' experience including a combination of public accounting and/or as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or in a similar senior accounting role.
• CPA or CMA preferred
• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Architecture or related industry experience strongly preferred
• Deltek VantagePoint experience (strongly preferred) or similar ERP experience (required)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly skilled in accounting, financial processes and internal controls
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities
• Excel (advanced user), PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
• Experienced with multi office or multi location reporting and consolidation

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will have supervisory responsibilities.
