Job Description

We're hiring an experienced Controller with a strong construction accounting background to lead financial operations for a growing construction organization in Columbia, Missouri. Candidates local to the Columbia area or open to relocating are welcome, and relocation assistance is available for the right person.

Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000+ base, plus bonus opportunity up to 30%.

Responsibilities:

  • Own monthly close and financial reporting across the organization and its subsidiaries
  • Prepare and manage WIP (work-in-progress) reports and over/under billing analysis
  • Oversee percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and progress billing
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity, and investment decisions
  • Handle intercompany accounting and consolidations across multiple entities
  • Prepare board-level financial reviews and presentations for ownership and leadership

Requirements:

  • Controller or senior accounting leadership experience in construction
  • Deep knowledge of WIP reporting and percentage-of-completion billing
  • Experience with multi-entity/subsidiary accounting and consolidations
  • Track record managing investment and cash flow issues
  • Able to build clear, board-ready financial reviews
  • CPA and bachelor's in Accounting or Finance preferred
