This role oversees accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance while partnering closely with leadership to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with a passion for healthcare access and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & ReportingOversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and revenue recognitionPrepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAPLead the annual audit process and act as the primary liaison with external auditors and tax advisorsEnsure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and healthcare-related financial regulationsControls, Systems & Process ImprovementDesign, implement, and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assetsContinuously improve accounting processes and systems to support growth, efficiency, and scalabilityOversee financial systems and ensure data accuracy and integrity across platformsBudgeting & Strategic SupportPartner with leadership to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plansAnalyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decisionsSupport pricing, cost management, and margin analysis aligned with the company’s affordability missionTeam Leadership & CollaborationManage, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learningCollaborate cross-functionally with operations, clinical, and leadership teams to support organizational goalsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA or CMA preferred7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or management responsibilityStrong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reportingExperience in healthcare, insurance, or regulated industries strongly preferredPreferredExperience in high-growth or mission-driven organizationsFamiliarity with healthcare reimbursement models and revenue cyclesAdvanced proficiency with accounting software and financial systemsInterested in hearing more?
