Job Description

At Sentry Equipment, a subsidiary of ProMach's Systems business, we have a longstanding reputation in the industries we serve. We offer an extensive portfolio of conveyor equipment and related container handling machinery. We specialize in integrating packaging equipment and conveying systems into cost-effective and efficient plan designs.

A Controls Engineering Intern will gain hands-on experience in electrical design, circuit analysis, and system integration. This role provides exposure to electrical engineering fundamentals, control systems, and product development. Interns will assist in schematic design, troubleshooting electrical components, and supporting internal project workflows.

Are you excited about this work?

  • Work with manufacturing teams to ensure proper implementation of electrical designs.
  • Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
  • Assist in reviewing electrical schematics and updating documentation.
  • Assist in designing and analyzing electrical circuits and control systems.
  • Support the engineering team in developing technical documentation and wiring diagrams.
  • Assist in the selection of electrical components based on system requirements.
  • Support quality assurance efforts by analyzing system performance and identifying potential improvements.
  • Gain exposure to project management and cross-functional teamwork as well as exposure to programming PLC programs specifically Allen Bradley Control Logix, CompactLogix, PLC and SLC, and use of Ethernet

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and electrical design software (AutoCAD Electrical or similar) preferred.
