Join a friendly convenience store team in Clay Center, NE where your cooking skills keep the community fueled and happy every morning.Job Title: CookLocation: Clay Center, NE Pay: $15-16/hour (based on experience)Hours: 4: 30 AM 12: 00 PM, every other weekend requiredWhat You ll DoAs a Cook, you ll be the heart of our kitchen preparing fresh, hot food and making sure everything is safe, stocked, and ready to serve.Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and cook hot food items following company recipes and guidelines
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, and grills
- Maintain food quality, freshness, and proper holding temperatures
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Clean kitchen equipment, prep areas, and workstations
- Stock food and supplies as needed
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties
- Provide friendly customer service and assist with cashiering when needed
- Food service experience preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
