Part-Time Schedule:

Friday & Saturday: 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Sunday & Monday: 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM

Cypress Cove Care Center is seeking a reliable and experienced Cook to join our dietary team. This role is essential to ensuring our residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals in a safe and compliant healthcare environment.

We are looking for someone who understands the importance of consistency, food safety, and special dietary needs in a skilled nursing setting.

What You’ll Do

Prepare and cook meals according to menus, recipes, and dietary requirements
Ensure proper portion control, food quality, and presentation
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
Prepare meals for residents with therapeutic diets and modified textures
Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and work areas
Complete temperature logs and sanitation documentation
Assist with inventory, food storage, and kitchen organization
Work collaboratively with dietary aides and leadership

What We’re Looking For

Prior cooking experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred and essential for success in this role
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and dietary regulations
Experience with therapeutic diets and modified textures preferred
Ability to work independently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Team-oriented with a positive attitude
