Since 2003, The Lakes Bar & Grill has been a trusted, go-to destination for food and fun in South Dakota. With a 15-room motel and a scenic 9-hole golf course on site, we're proud to serve locals and visitors alike in our indoor and outdoor dining areas. Our kitchen team plays a central role in that experience-every cook and kitchen assistant contributes to making each meal memorable.

In this role, you'll work directly with other cooks and chefs, helping prep and cook food items, assisting with plating, and supporting the overall flow of the kitchen. You'll also be responsible for basic cleaning, stocking, and helping the team maintain food safety and kitchen cleanliness standards. Whether you're assisting a senior cook or stepping in on the line during a rush, your contributions will matter.

We're looking for part-time cooks who are dependable, hardworking, and enjoy a busy kitchen environment. Prior experience in a restaurant kitchen is a plus, but not required-we're happy to train the right person with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

This position is perfect for students, retirees, or anyone seeking flexible, part-time hours in a fun, upbeat workplace. Our busiest shifts are evenings, weekends, and holidays-availability during those times is a big plus. Pay for this part-time cook position ranges from $16.00 to $19.00 per hour, depending on your experience and availability.
