What You’ll Do
Prepare and cook hot and cold menu items using standardized recipes
Ensure meals meet dietary requirements, textures, and preferences
Plate and portion meals accurately on trayline; verify tray accuracy
Support special diets (purée, mechanical soft, thickened liquids, etc.)
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP, temp logs, labeling, FIFO)
Assist with meal service, delivery carts, and dining room support as needed
Process diet changes and update tray cards when required
Maintain clean, organized, and compliant kitchen and storage areas
Follow infection control, safety policies, and HIPAA standards
What You Bring
Previous cooking experience required (healthcare or long-term care strongly preferred)
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and modified diets
Ability to follow recipes, production sheets, and diet orders accurately
Strong attention to detail and time management
Team-oriented mindset with a passion for resident care
Food Handler certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift as needed
Schedule & Status
8-hour shifts | On-site (Liberty, TX)
Weekend and holiday availability may be required
