Cook

We're looking for a dependable Cook who takes pride in food quality, teamwork, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen. Join our team and help create delicious, nutritious meals for residents in a warm and welcoming healthcare community.

What You'll Do

As a Cook, you'll play an important role in creating meals that support the health and happiness of our residents. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking meals according to menus and dietary guidelines

• Ensuring food quality, presentation, taste, and proper texture

• Monitoring and recording food temperatures during cooking and holding

• Maintaining proper food storage, rotation, and labeling practices

• Keeping the kitchen clean, safe, and organized throughout your shift

• Working with the dining services team to ensure equipment is functioning properly

• Assisting with food preparation for special meals, events, and celebrations

• Helping receive and store food deliveries when needed

What We're Looking For

• At least 1 year of cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare kitchen, or similar environment

• General kitchen or dietary experience may be considered

• Food handler permit or required state certification

• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and dietary guidelines

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A commitment to maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen

Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

Work Environment

This role is based in a healthcare dining environment, serving residents in a skilled nursing or assisted living setting. You'll be part of a team dedicated to providing meals that support residents' comfort, health, and daily enjoyment.
