Penny's Waikiki Malasadas - Immediate Cook Position

15.00 per hour and up depends on experience

Penny's Waikiki Malasadas, a beloved food truck turned restaurant in Hawaii, is seeking a talented Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Cook at Penny's, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the excellence of our restaurant and delight customers with our mouthwatering malasadas.

Main Responsibilities of a Cook:

Preparing workstations, cooking ingredients, and kitchen equipment for cooking.
Cooking and arranging food.

Responsibilities:

Maintaining a sanitized and well-organized kitchen.
Preparing workstations for cooking.
Preparing and maintaining kitchen equipment.
Checking the quality of the ingredients.
Preparing cooking ingredients using various techniques.
Cooking food using various culinary techniques.
Arranging food and ensuring appealing presentation.
Manage food storage, stock, and ingredient orders.

Requirements:

Must have prior experience as a cook.
Must be skilled in operating kitchen equipment.
Must be skilled in various cooking techniques.
Must know and follow sanitation procedures.
Must showcase teamwork and communication skills.
Must showcase great organizational skills.
Must be able to multitask and act quickly.
Must carry at least a high school diploma.

Location: Penny's Waikiki Malasadas Royal Hawaiian Center, 2nd floor food court, Honolulu, HI

We started as a stationary food truck in Laie in 2018. We were able to get a second truck in Aiea, and now are lucky enough to be serving you our delicious malasadas in the Royal Hawaiian Center. Food has a special ability to bring people together. Especially here in Hawaii, we hope that our malasadas are shared at family events, on vacations with loved ones, and enjoyed as a part of the Aloha experience.
