Haven Homes, a Cassia community, is hiring a self-motivated, energetic Flex Cook to join our culinary team! This unique position offers a consistent schedule and the opportunity to pick up extra hours as needed for vacation coverage. If you’re seeking a meaningful role with and the chance to brighten residents’ days, we’d love to have you on our team.Position Type: Part-TimeFlexShifts Available: Every other Weekend and Every other Wednesday with additional hours available to cover for vacations and leave of absences. Hours: 10:30 am to 7:00 pmWage Range: $17.74 to $21.70 / hour depending on experience.Location: 4848 Gateway Blvd, Maple Plain, MNCook Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assist in cooking all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards.
- Work within the department to provide quality and nutritious meals and service to residents.
- Assist with food preparation for residents.
- Help maintain a clean and sanitary dietary department.
- Assist residents, employees, and guests with a broad range of dietary needs.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- 1+ years of commercial cooking experience required.
- Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills.
