Job Description

The Cooler/Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing cooler, warehouse, and load‑out operations in accordance with company policies and established procedures. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high‑quality daily shipping, receiving, inventory rotation, and production support activities while providing strong leadership and maintaining compliance with all safety, SQF, and operational standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Direct activities in trailer load‑out, warehouse operations, production staging, maintenance coordination, and quality control.
  • Achieve goals related to production volume, quality standards, safety performance, accuracy, and cost control.
  • Coordinate daily load‑out schedules, staging, shipping, production runs, and trailer inventories.
  • Manage inbound deliveries and ensure compliance with SQF and other food safety requirements.
  • Communicate all non‑compliances promptly to appropriate managers and ensure corrective action.

Employee Supervision & Development

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Assign job responsibilities and ensure proper equipment use and adherence to operational procedures.
  • Monitor employee morale and address concerns promptly.
  • Maintain employee records, including attendance, time sheets, overtime, and safety documentation.
  • Oversee job performance evaluations, orientation, training, and corrective/disciplinary actions.
  • Train current and future employees as needed to meet operational demands.

Inventory, Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate product rotation and ensure proper inventory management within cooler and warehouse operations.
  • Lead weekly/monthly proactive safety programs and complete daily equipment inspections such as pallet truck check‑offs.
  • Conduct accident investigations and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
  • Enforce all cooler and warehouse policies, safety standards, and employee relations programs.
  • Reconcile month‑end inventory, identify variances, and report discrepancies.

Process Improvement & Technology

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing safety risks, improving operational KPIs, and optimizing processes.
  • Support ERP implementation and collaborate with IT on operational technology improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or Associate Degree in Business Administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and evaluate employees.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong time‑management abilities.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment to organizational mission and values.
  • Proficiency with MS Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work with ERP systems (SAP experience a plus).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in dairy or food manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution environments.

Compensation

  • Salary:$70,000.00 - $85,000 annually

The salary range listed for this position represents the good faith and reasonable minimum and maximum pay for this role at the time of posting.  Actual compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, training, knowledge, education, and overall qualifications.  The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components of the total rewards package may include participation in group health and/or dental insurance, retirement plan, wellness program, paid time away from work, and paid holidays.
