JOB SUMMARY
The Scholarships Coordinator oversees the development, management, and maintenance of all scholarship policies, procedures, and operations. This role works to improve scholarship delivery systems, maximize office efficiency, and enhance overall effectiveness. The coordinator also ensures accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in scholarship entry and in preparing information for the website. In addition, the position serves as a key liaison with various internal and external constituents.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONISIBILITIES
Oversees, coordinates, publishes, and monitors scholarship policies and procedures; trains staff in conjunction with departmental leadership
Supervises and assists with entry of scholarship information into student records; updates and changes records regarding federal and state grants; certifies documents to facilitate payment of outside scholarships
Collaborates with external departments, organizations, and stakeholders to support the facilitation and administration of scholarships and funding initiatives
Utilizes various applications and software platforms to promote scholarships, process awards, and collect relevant data; ensures accurate and accessible presentation of information for administrators, students, and external stakeholders
Assists with financial reconciliations; develops and disseminates reports for reconciliations and compliance reviews; assists in resolutions and troubleshooting
Maintains information regarding institutional, state, federal, and outside scholarships to disseminate and publicize in various formats
Leads committees in the evaluation of student appeals, scholarship awarding decisions, and need-based determinations, ensuring fair and consistent application of both scholarships and federal aid
Assists with advising and counseling students, parents, agencies, and University staff on all aspects of student financial services; conducts presentations
Assists with NCAA awarding and compliance
Performs other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of federal, state, and university academic, scholarship, and work policies and procedures
Knowledge of database preparation and maintenance

Ability to efficiently process large volumes of scholarship awards within tight timeframes while maintaining accuracy and compliance

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining organization and efficiency
Ability to maintain confidentially
Ability to prepare and generate reports
Ability to organize and maintain accurate records and files

Ability to assess situations and exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree
Two or more years of related experience
