Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Project Architect to join our Bozeman studio and help lead the design and delivery of high-end residential, resort, ranch, and lifestyle projects throughout Montana and the Mountain West.

This is a hands-on role for an architect who enjoys both the creative and technical sides of the profession. You will have the opportunity to take projects from early conceptual design and design development through documentation, coordination, permitting, and construction administration.

The ideal candidate brings strong design sensibility, technical proficiency, and the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, interior designers, contractors, and internal project teams.

Responsibilities include:

Lead architectural projects from concept through constructionDevelop thoughtful design solutions responsive to site, landscape, client goals, and budgetProduce and oversee design development and construction documentationCoordinate structural, MEP, civil, landscape, interior design, and other project consultantsWork closely with contractors to address constructability, detailing, and field conditionsParticipate in client presentations, design meetings, and project decision-makingMaintain project schedules, documentation standards, and design quality throughout deliverySupport construction administration, submittal review, RFIs, and site coordinationMentor and collaborate with architectural staff throughout the design and documentation process

Ideal background:

Licensed Architect preferred5+ years of post-licensure professional experience preferredStrong background in custom residential, resort, hospitality, or similarly design-intensive architectureExperience carrying sophisticated projects from design through constructionStrong technical detailing and construction-documentation capabilitiesExcellent communication and consultant coordination skillsComfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced design studioStrong understanding of materials, detailing, constructability, and building systemsGenuine interest in high-quality Mountain West architecture and site-responsive design
