ABOUT THE ROLEA leading commercial real estate investment manager is seeking a Senior Associate, Accounting to join its finance team. This role provides broad exposure to accounting and financial reporting within an asset management environment, including support for investment-related entities and commercial real estate activities.The ideal candidate will have 3 5 years of experience in asset management accounting or public accounting serving asset management clients, with strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel skills.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and financial reporting processes.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial statements.
- Analyze financial activity and investigate accounting discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Support accounting and reporting activities related to investment and commercial real estate entities.
- Coordinate with internal finance, asset management, and investment teams on accounting matters.
- Assist with external audit requests and preparation of supporting documentation.
- Perform financial analysis and reporting for management.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
- Support special projects and ad hoc initiatives as needed.
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 3 5 years of professional accounting experience.
- Experience within asset management or public accounting serving asset management clients preferred.
- CPA preferred.
- Strong understanding and application of U.S. GAAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Sage Intacct, SAP Concur, or IntegriData EAS is a plus.
