Corporate Banking Sr Associate - Latam Public Sector

Responsibilities:

• Assist in identifying the needs and help develop a strategy across sub-segments of the Public Sector: national and local governments, central banks, development banks, ministries of foreign affairs, state owned entities.
• Develop PS content, drawing from the PS global expertise, to assist in the presentation and development of new ideas to clients
• Support the origination, design and execution of Public Sector Latin-America transactions across CMO, TTS and Markets in close coordination with product partners and in-country bankers.
• Support strategic planning for clients through product deep dive sessions and the account planning process
• Have flexibility to participate (contribute and learn) in Global Public Sector Initiatives and Projects carried out by the senior team in NY.
• Provide coverage support for strategic global names.
• Support the Global PS head and CIB Vice Chairman for public speaking engagements and client meetings, by conducting macro research and country analysis.
• Assist PS seniors to client meetings in NYC, industry events (UNGA, IMF meetings) and others as necessary.
• Connect with the global PSG network to source content and replicable experiences.
• Research and monitor key public sector trends and innovative practices to identify new opportunities Identify and develop training sessions and / or materials for the LATAM Public Sector network.
• Track macro developments, rating agency actions and policy decisions to identify potential transaction opportunities

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as a banker, solid credit & risk knowledge, comprehensive knowledge of financial modelling, good understanding of public sector is preferred.
• Fluency or proficiency in Spanish required
• Series 79 and 63 within 150 days of joining.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master's degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$165,000.00 - $185,000.00
