Job Description

SWBC is seeking a talented individual who will support the execution of internal and external communications initiatives that align with organizational goals. This role contributes to content creation, social media engagement, and public relations efforts in collaboration with various departments.

Essential duties include the following:

  • Support internal clients (HR, community relations, etc.)  in developing and executing internal and external communications that drive employee engagement, promote transparency, and align with organizational objectives.
  • Write, edit, and produce a variety of communications content, including magazine articles, internal announcements, email campaigns, video scripts, press materials, and social media content.
  • Manage and maintain communications channels and digital platforms, including the company intranet, editorial calendars, social media accounts, and other content distribution channels.
  • Support the execution of communications campaigns, corporate initiatives, sponsorships, partnerships, community relations activities, and promotional programs.
  • Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies that enhance brand visibility, audience engagement, and the company’s online presence.
  • Assist with company and employee award submissions, recognition programs, and reputation-enhancing initiatives.
  • Support public relations initiatives through the preparation of press releases, company announcements, executive biographies, media materials, and media monitoring activities.
  • Conduct research, monitor industry trends and media coverage, represent the Corporate Communications & Public Relations team in meetings and presentations, and provide project coordination support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in communications, public/media relations, social media, or related field (internships may count).
  • Strong writing and video editing skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content creation tools.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and web publishing is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to travel locally as needed.
