The Corporate Director of Clinical Operations - Pharmacy provides leadership and strategic direction for all clinical pharmacy operations across the health system. This role ensures the consistent delivery of safe, effective, and evidence-based pharmaceutical care while advancing quality outcomes, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The Director collaborates closely with pharmacy leaders, physicians, nursing, and administrative teams to optimize medication management, support clinical initiatives, and expand the role of pharmacy services in improving patient care. This position is responsible for aligning pharmacy practice standards, advancing clinical programs, and developing system-wide initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and financial performance. The Director maintains comprehensive knowledge of regulatory standards and requirements from The Joint Commission (TJC), the State Board of Pharmacy, and other relevant agencies to ensure compliance and readiness across all pharmacy operations.

This leader is also responsible for developing departmental budgets, strengthening pharmacy operations, and building high-performing teams through recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance management. The ideal candidate brings strong operational and regulatory expertise, a commitment to patient safety, and the ability to lead pharmacy strategy across a dynamic health system in vibrant New Orleans.

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required: Minimum of ten (10) years of pharmacy experience with at least five (5) in a progressive clinical leadership role.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent.

  • Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution or master's degree in healthcare administration, Business, or related field.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Licensed Pharmacist through the LA Board of Pharmacy required.
