Job Description

Iteris is seeking a Corporate Paralegal with exceptional attention to detail and expertise in managing resolutions and signature processing. This is a high-impact role within a small, fast-paced in-house legal department at Iteris, Inc. This individual will operate with significant independence and autonomy, leading work streams and projects across intellectual property portfolio management, corporate governance, contract administration, litigation support, and legal operations. The ideal candidate thrives wearing multiple hats and brings a leadership mindset, functioning as a trusted partner to C-Suite and executive level leadership and outside counsel. What you will be doing:

Manage the company's trademark and patent portfolio, including prosecution tracking, renewal deadlines, and coordination with outside IP counselOversee entity management compliance, including CSC relationship management, annual filings, and certificates of good standingSupport corporate governance activities, including routine resolution preparationPrepare and maintain business licenses and registrations across applicable jurisdictionsManage CLM database and contract workflows, including signature and DocuSign processesLead CLM implementation and optimization projectsPerform routine contract review (e.g., NDAs), with training provided to expand contract review and administration responsibilities over timeProvide due diligence and document support for corporate transactions, including database management and deal flowManage subpoena intake and processingPrepare and administer litigation hold noticesCoordinate insurance applications and data gathering for policy renewalsProcess and track invoices for outside counsel and legal vendorsMaintain organized legal records, electronic files, and databasesGenerate reports from legal software toolsPrepare documents and presentations for attorneys and legal staffManage routine lease administration and facilities-related legal tasksProvide general administrative support to attorneys and contract managers as needed

What you need to be successful in this role:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field preferredParalegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is a plusMinimum of 4 years of experience as a paralegal or legal operations professional in an in-house legal departmentExperience managing diverse responsibilities is strongly preferredExperience managing an intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks and patentsEntity management and corporate governance experienceLicense and registration management experienceLitigation management and support experienceCLM platform experience, with interest in or experience leading system implementation projectsSelf-directed professional who takes initiative, works independently, and drives projects to completion with minimal supervisionProven ability to lead work streams and manage projects from concept through executionExceptional attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to contribute across all levels of work, from strategic project leadership to routine administrative tasksProficiency with legal technology platforms; experience with Conga, CSC, DocuSign, and/or Salesforce is a plusFamiliarity with AI-powered tools and enthusiasm for adopting technology to improve efficiencyThe role may require moderate physical effort, including occasional lifting of materials up to 10 pounds

Iteris anticipates paying a base salary between $86,500 and $96,300 for this role. Actual pay offered may be below or above these amounts, depending on the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
