The Corporate VP, Finance is a strategic financial leader responsible for driving capital planning, treasury management, procurement strategy, and corporate development across United Parks & Resorts. This role ensures alignment between financial strategy and corporate objectives, optimizing capital efficiency, mitigating financial risks, and enhancing long-term value creation.

Working cross-functionally with Treasury, Procurement, Strategic Planning, and Business Development, this position plays a critical role in investment decision-making, capital allocation, and financial governance. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in financial strategy, capital planning, and process optimization to enable operational discipline, support strategic growth, and enhance financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Capital Planning & Treasury Leadership

  • Develop and oversee capital allocation strategies, ensuring optimal use of financial resources to support business growth and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with Treasury to manage liquidity, cash flow forecasting, and debt financing, ensuring the company maintains a strong financial position.
  • Drive long-term capital planning to align with corporate strategy, balancing investment opportunities with risk mitigation.
  • Evaluate and optimize working capital management, collaborating with business units to improve cash conversion cycles and financial flexibility.

Procurement & Financial Efficiency

  • Lead strategic sourcing and procurement finance, ensuring cost-effective procurement strategies while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Establish governance over supplier risk management, contract negotiations, and procurement efficiency, ensuring alignment with corporate financial objectives.
  • Enhance financial controls and efficiency within procurement, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.

Strategic Planning & Business Development

  • Work closely with the corporate strategy team to assess M&A opportunities, strategic investments, and business expansion initiatives.
  • Provide financial leadership for due diligence, valuation modeling, and integration planning of acquisitions or divestitures.
  • Support strategic joint ventures, partnerships, and licensing agreements, ensuring financial structures align with long-term growth objectives.
  • Develop financial models to evaluate return on investment (ROI), capital expenditures (CapEx), and cost-saving initiatives.

Financial Governance & Risk Management

  • Establish and enforce corporate financial policies to ensure consistency, transparency, and compliance across the enterprise.
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit, Tax, and Treasury to strengthen financial risk management and governance frameworks.
  • Lead financial process improvement initiatives to enhance data accuracy, reporting efficiency, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ensure corporate finance policies and capital strategies are adaptable to evolving business needs and market dynamics.

What it takes to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably within a corporate finance, treasury, or capital planning function.
  • Expertise in capital planning, treasury management, financial risk mitigation, and strategic procurement.
  • Experience in private equity-backed environments, M&A transactions, or high-growth companies is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in financial modeling, capital structure optimization, and investment analysis.
  • Cross-functional leadership experience, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and enterprise financial systems.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical skills, and communication abilities.
