- 8.00am- 4.30pm
- Assess patients' psychosocial, behavioral, and mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling to address emotional, behavioral, and social concerns.
- Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and treatment outcomes.
- Conduct crisis intervention, suicide risk assessments, and behavioral health evaluations as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, counselors, and correctional staff to coordinate patient care.
- Assist patients with coping strategies, problem-solving skills, discharge planning, and access to community resources.
- Provide support for substance use, trauma, family concerns, and other psychosocial needs.
- Respond promptly to mental health crises and significant changes in patient behavior or condition.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Virginia DOC policies, confidentiality standards, professional ethics, and security procedures.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered social work services while promoting safety, rehabilitation, and positive outcomes.
- Current, valid, and unrestricted VA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
- Minimum of 1+ year within the last 3 years of recent experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
- Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents
