Savard is hiring a CPA in Baton Rouge, LA Savard is seeking an experienced CPA to provide hands-on accounting leadership, financial reporting, and support for the company's accounting operations and financial processes.The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, a solid understanding of GAAP, and strong ERP knowledge, including experience with accounting system implementations, conversions, or transitions. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting operations, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Support ERP implementation, system conversion, data migration, account mapping, testing, and reconciliation.
- Assist with the transition to Sage and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow analysis, tax compliance, and audits.
- Provide guidance and support to accounting staff.
- Assist management with financial analysis and accounting-related decisions.
- Active CPA license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Strong ERP/accounting systems knowledge with implementation or conversion experience.
- Experience with Sage or similar accounting platforms preferred.
- Strong Excel, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
