Job Description
Crane Technician Knoxville, TN | Remote when not Traveling Full-Time | $30 50/hr, depending on experience*Overtime paid at 1.5x; 2.0x pay for weekend hour*Summary: Seeking a highly skilled Crane Technician who will provide quality installation, inspections, maintenance and repair service for hoist and crane equipment. Responsibilities:
- Service overhead crane systems and hoists by performing quality installations.*
- Perform OSHA equivalent inspections; documenting and completing warranty work; troubleshooting breakdowns.*
- Perform preventive maintenance; and respond to emergency service/breakdown calls.*
- Support customers by effectively interfacing with customers and office in repairing equipment as needed.*
- Perform electrical and /or mechanical adjustments or repairs with or without engineered drawings.*
- Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; and recommending system improvements.*
- Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklist.*
- Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas.*
- Develop a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists.*
- Responsible for company equipment including company vehicle(s), tools, etc.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting overhead cranes, hoists, and/or scissor lifts*
- Experience with 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits *
- Must not be afraid of heights, could be working 50-70ft high*
- 80% travel during the week, 90% local and should be home every night*
- Capable of dealing directly with the customer and representing self and company in a professional manner *
- Required to use own hand tools and meter*
- Must have a valid drivers license with a good driving record
- Associates degree with Concentration in Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanical Technology
