Creative Design Apprentice

Will assist Athletic Creative Team with a variety of photo and video related tasks. May include producing creative assets for a designated Liberty Athletics team. Individual may be assigned to and embedded with a designated team throughout their season. The creative deliverables will be used on Liberty Athletics social media (Twitter, Instagram, etc.) as well as in recruiting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creative, self-motivated individual who takes initiative.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite applications preferred.
• Work as a member of the Athletic Creative Team to ensure that the creative needs of Liberty Athletics are met.
• Demonstrate competency with social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
• Understanding of athletics and how to use video and photo content to tell a story.
• Photography and/or videography experience.
• Edit video projects.
• Effective communicator both verbally and written.
• Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Ability to travel if needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with preferred field of study in Communications or a related field.

To obtain LU-approved driver certification, individuals must be 21 years of age or older, possess a valid driver's license with a minimum of five (5) years of documented driving history, and maintain a clean driving record.

Physical and Sensory Abilities

• Willingness to travel and work nights and weekends as assigned.
• Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform creative work or type on a keyboard.
• Regularly required to hear and discern sounds.
• Regularly required to see and discern colors.
• Regularly work in an outdoor environment, such as an athletics event.
• Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel, or stoop in order to conduct business.
• Standing, walking, and climbing stairs are occasionally required to move about the building.
• Regularly lift 20 or fewer pounds.

Work Environment

The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position will vary from climate-controlled office setting to outdoor athletic events. Noise level at athletic events can be moderate to loud.
