Job Description

Job Summary:

The Creative Strategist & Designer is a strategic, hands-on creative role responsible for transforming ideas, data, and product insights into high-performing visual content across e-commerce and digital channels.

This role blends graphic design, AI-powered content creation, video production, and e-commerce expertise (Amazon-first) to develop compelling, conversion-driven creative. The ideal candidate is both a designer and a thinker—someone who can take minimal direction and independently concept, design, and execute best-in-class creative that drives engagement, traffic, and sales.

Work Performed:

This role will partner cross-functionally with E-commerce, Sales, and Product Development teams to create content that is both visually compelling and performance-driven.

You will leverage AI tools, design systems, and data insights to produce and iterate creative across product detail pages, ads, video, and campaigns—constantly optimizing for conversion and brand impact.

Role and Responsibilities:

E-commerce & Amazon (Primary Focus)

  • Design and optimize Amazon gallery images, A+ content, Premium A+, ads, and Brand Store assets
  • Translate product features, reviews, and insights into clear, compelling visual storytelling
  • Continuously improve listings through A/B testing and performance-driven design
  • Ensure all content is retail-ready, mobile-optimized, and conversion-focused

AI-Driven Content Creation

  • Use AI tools (image generation, layout tools, copy assistance) to create and iterate creative 
  • Explore and implement new AI workflows to improve speed, quality, and output
  • Support light copywriting or use AI tools to generate and refine messaging

Creative & Design Execution

  • Design assets across:
    • Amazon
    • Paid ads (Meta, Amazon, retail media)
    • Website & landing pages
    • Packaging, tradeshow, and retail signage (as needed)
  • Develop templates and systems to scale creative production across brands

Video & Motion

  • Create and/or edit short-form video content for:
    • Ads
    • Product education (Amazon, YouTube)
  • Collaborate on storyboarding and execution of video concepts

Concepting & Creative Strategy

  • Take initiative to concept ideas without heavy direction
  • Translate rough ideas or minimal briefs into fully realized visual concepts
  • Interpret data (reviews, performance metrics, trends) into creative opportunities
  • Partner with internal teams to align creative with business goals and product strategy

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience with AI creative tools (image generation, layout tools, copy tools)
  • Deep understanding of Amazon creative best practices)
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear, digestible visuals
  • Strong design fundamentals: layout, typography, hierarchy, storytelling
  • Experience with paid media creative (thumb-stopping, performance-driven design)
  • Video editing skills (Adobe Premiere, or similar) preferred
  • Highly self-directed with the ability to work from minimal briefs
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality execution
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

  • 3–6+ years of experience in digital design, content creation, or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, design, film, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating:
    • E-commerce (Amazon preferred)
    • Ad creative
    • Visual storytelling
    • AI-generated or AI-assisted work
  • Experience in consumer brands, DTC, or e-commerce strongly preferred
