Credentialed Special Education Tutor (Foundational Literacy & Math)

About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Riverside, CA,

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in Riverside, CA,
• Schedule: 10 hours a month, 1-2 sessions a week for 1 - 1.25 hours
• Pay range is between $25 and $35

Ideal Candidate:

• Valid teaching credential required (Special Education or Multiple Subject preferred)
• Strong background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and behavior-based instructional strategies
• Experience working with students with autism or attention-related challenges
• Background supporting early foundational literacy skills (Pre-K level reading and writing)
• Understanding of foundational math instruction, with ability to build on student strengths
• Bubbly, engaging, and outgoing personality with the ability to maintain high student engagement
• Skilled in play-based, interactive, and gamified learning approaches
• Ability to support focus, attention, and task completion through structured and engaging methods
• Patient, energetic, and creative in lesson delivery

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction in foundational reading and writing skills at a Pre-K level
• Reinforce foundational math skills while building on existing strengths
• Implement play-based, highly engaging, and gamified lessons to maintain attention and motivation
• Utilize ABA-based strategies to support behavior, engagement, and learning outcomes
• Incorporate games, interactive activities, and hands-on learning into all sessions
• Support development of focus, attention, and task persistence through structured routines and reinforcement
• Create a positive, energetic, and supportive learning environment
• Adapt instruction based on student responsiveness and engagement levels
• Provide progress updates to caregivers and adjust strategies as needed
