Crew Supervisor – Construction
Company: Knox Concrete Construction
Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday–Friday (occasional weekends), start times as early as 6:00 AM
Pay: $32-$49 per hour (based on experience) + overtime
Job Overview
Knox Concrete Construction is seeking an experienced Crew Supervisor to lead and work alongside a small concrete crew. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily job site operations, ensuring quality work, maintaining safety standards, and keeping projects on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and work alongside a small crew on concrete projects
- Assign daily tasks, prioritize work, and ensure timely project completion
- Perform and oversee concrete pouring, finishing, and equipment operation
- Monitor job site safety and enforce safe work practices
- Train team members and provide performance feedback
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Order and manage materials for assigned projects
- Maintain accurate job records and work orders
- Inspect work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
- Perform basic maintenance on tools, equipment, and company property
- Adjust work based on weather conditions and concrete curing requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of construction experience
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience
- High school diploma or GED
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- First Aid certification preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience operating heavy equipment and construction tools
- Valid US Drivers License
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
- Frequent bending, lifting, stooping, and standing
- Strong manual dexterity and coordination
