Job Description
A fast-paced and reputable criminal defense practice, is seeking a highly organized and experienced Paralegal/Office Manager to support daily legal operations and oversee office management functions. This is a dual-role position ideal for someone who is confident operating in a small, busy firm environment and can take ownership quickly. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH QUICKBOOKS - WILL BE TESTED! Position: Criminal Defense Paralegal / Office Manager Key Responsibilities
- Provide paralegal support to a criminal defense attorney, including case preparation, filings, and court coordination
- Manage day-to-day office operations, workflows, and administrative needs
- Maintain case files, discovery, and calendar deadlines
- Draft and prepare legal documents, motions, and correspondence
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, courts, and vendors
- Assist with Accounts Receivables and Payables in QuickBooks
- Assist with scheduling, and general office upkeep
- Step into full office manager duties as the current office manager transitions out
- Minimum 2 years of legal experience, preferably in criminal defense
- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH QUICKBOOKS!
- Strong understanding of criminal court procedures and filings
- Experience managing office operations a plus
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving environment
