We serve a wide variety of clients including numerous Christian ministries, churches, businesses, and individuals throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and nationwide. Our firm’s mission to integrate our faith into the practice of law and serve our clients with excellence.
Simms Showers LLP is currently seeking a well-qualified applicant for a Legal Assistant for our Criminal & Traffic Law Practice Area. This position involves being the first point of contact for clients and providing legal and administrative support to our criminal and traffic law attorneys with 60+ active cases a week.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a logical and organized individual who is a skilled multitasker. This person excels and is comfortable in a fast-paced high energy environment, handles external stress well (situational and relational), maintains a courteous and professional demeanor under pressure and values teamwork, communication, and collaboration to achieve shared goals. The ideal candidate should be very well organized and able to keep track of multiple different cases at once, as well as keep track of payments from clients. Excellent writing and editing skills are required.
Required Skills:
- Administrative office experience
- Experience with Microsoft office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Skills (but not necessary):
- Spanish proficiency or fluency
- 1+ years of experience as a Criminal Legal Assistant
Pay is negotiable and based on qualifications and experience. This position is a full time position, with benefits included.
