Job Description
A CT Technologist opportunity is open at a 523-bed acute care hospital in Gainesville, FL a Joint Commission-accredited facility designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, an Accredited Chest Pain Center by the American College of Cardiology, and a Blue Distinction Center for both Spine Surgery and Bariatric Surgery. The hospital offers a full spectrum of services including comprehensive cardiovascular care, oncology, orthopedics, neurosciences, and minimally invasive robotic surgery.The role. Working under the direction of a Radiologist, the CT Technologist independently performs radiology and CT scan procedures without the need for constant technical supervision. This position requires the application of prescribed ionizing radiation with sound independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative across a wide range of imaging procedures. The technologist assumes responsibility for designated areas and procedures and performs examinations on patients across the full age spectrum, from neonates to geriatric patients.What we're looking for.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist license required
- ARRT registration in Radiography (R) and CT preferred
- Minimum one year of CT experience required; acute care experience is not required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
