- CT (Computed Tomography)General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) Current BLS requiredCerts/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements ARRT RT (R) (CT)How many scanners/rooms does this department have? 3Will they have to float/cover any other areas? Occasionaly float to X-ray to do ED/Inpatient/Outpatient X-ray. Usually depends on the job/shift positonCommon types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties All routine CT exams for Inpatient/Outpatient and EDCardiac CT, biopsy/drain, Cryo/Microwave ablationsExperience or 'Must have' skills Must be able to perform all routine CT exams as well as TraumaAverage # of scans/studies per day 65-70 in a 24 hour period on 3 scannersEMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use EMR = EPICPACS = SECTRAWindows computer softwareDepartment Specific Equipment (Client, Phillips, Siemens) 1 Client REV CT2 Client REV HDRadiology Supervisor or Lead Tech Both Imaging supervisor and Shift/Modality lead techsDo they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? NoRadiologist in-house? Radiologist on site 24/7Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department) Yes IV skills very helpful for working outpatientsShifts & Scheduling Shift times just depends - can be a mix of 10Hr and 12Hr shifts for both days & nights. Assigned shifts and schedule. Schedule posted at least 2 weeks in advance.Weekend Requirement Depends - there are shifts that are every weekend as well as every other weekend - will be dependent on needsHoliday Requirement Yes- If scheduled day lands on the holidayCall or Standby requirement? Response time? Call is Optional45 minute response timeScrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided?
