Unit NotesDepartment: CT/Xray TechCertifications Required: BLS, ARRT, ND state licNO CLINICAL INVOLVEMENT
- Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: Traumas, strokes, isolation, chest pain, C-arm and DEXA
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: CT & Rad Tech experience required
- Will they have to float/cover any other areas?: Will cover X-ray and CT
- Years Experience Required: 3
- Previous Travel Experience Required?: No
- EMR &/or PACS: Meditech
- Department Specific Equipment: Toshiba CT
- How many scanners/rooms does this department have?: 1 xray room, 1 CT room, portable, floro.
- Is there a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on each shift?: Yes
- Do they use RRAs (Registered Radiology Assistants)?: No
- Radiologist in-house?: No
- Do they have to start IVs? (if applicable to the department): Yes, if not already started by RN
- Shifts & Scheduling: 8hr shifts. 0700-1530, 0830-1700, 0900-1730 // Manager/team scheduling
- Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?: No
- Weekend Requirements: Every 3-5 weekends
- Holiday Requirements: Every 4th holiday
- Call or Standby requirement? Response time?: 15 minutes trauma/stroke
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided?: no scrub color requirement, scrubs not provided
- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: Varies based on experience
- Additional Notes: Attributes that help a tech be successful in this department include communication and teamwork
Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.Updated: 7/8/24
