Presbyterian is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Tech to join our radiology department. Responsibilities:
- Utilizes clinical reasoning which includes a global grasp of situations, critical thinking, decision-making, critical actions, priority setting, and escalation of concerns with associated knowledge, skills, and evidence-based guidelines in managing computerized tomographic radiograph imaging.
- Works on behalf of the patients/significant others in representing their concerns and helping resolve ethical and clinical issues that impact the patient’s situation. Uses effective communication to escalate concerns to appropriate one up leader. Goes extra mile to attend to patient exam requests.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree Required
- Current BLS is required.
- Certified CT Technologist
- NM Computed Tomography License (NMCT)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Computed Tomography certification (ARRT(CT))OR
- CT Technologist in Training/Provisional Status
- NM Computed Tomography Provisional License (NMPCT)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification (ARRT (R)). Must obtain ARRT(CT) and NMCT licensure within 2 years of obtaining the NMPCT.
- Individuals applying for a New Mexico Provisional CT License must have met the requirements for licensure in at least one New Mexico-recognized medical imaging or radiation therapy discipline (e.g., Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, or Registered Radiologist Assistant) and be pursuing an approved CT certification pathway.
