CT Technologist (1949)

Position Summary:

The CT Technologist performs high-quality computed tomography imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and applicable regulatory standards. This role requires strong technical proficiency, sound independent clinical judgment, and the ability to safely and accurately operate advanced imaging equipment. Working closely with radiologists, providers, and the broader imaging team, the technologist ensures each study is optimized for diagnostic value while prioritizing patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality. In addition to core CT responsibilities, this position may support other imaging areas as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a broad understanding of radiologic services within a fast-paced, collaborative clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform CT procedures using established protocols, adjusting imaging techniques to meet patient and diagnostic needs while ensuring optimal image quality.
• Initiate and manage IV access for contrast studies, monitor patient responses, and follow appropriate safety protocols for adverse reactions.
• Operate and troubleshoot CT scanners and related monitoring equipment, escalating technical issues appropriately and assisting with protocol optimization.
• Maintain accurate documentation, patient information, and charge capture in accordance with hospital information system requirements.
• Uphold radiation safety, infection control, and compliance standards while providing safe, high quality patient care.
• Collaborate with radiology staff and assist other imaging areas during periods of high volume or urgent cases.
