Position OverviewThe CT Technologist performs high-quality computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures according to physician orders while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
This role requires strong technical expertise in CT imaging equipment, patient care, and diagnostic imaging techniques to produce accurate images that support clinical diagnosis and treatment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform CT examinations according to physician orders and established protocols
Operate advanced CT imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images
Assess patient condition and adjust imaging techniques based on age-specific or special patient needs
Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures
Ensure proper positioning and technical imaging factors for optimal results
Follow radiation safety standards and imaging protocols
Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to support patient diagnosis and care
Education
Education meeting certification and licensing requirements for CT Technologists
Licensure and Certifications
BLS Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) required upon hire
Oregon Medical Imaging License required upon hire
One of the following required upon hire:
ARRT Registered Technologist Radiography (RT)
National Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology
Additional Certification Requirement
One of the following must be obtained within 1 year of hire:
ARRT Registered Technologist Computed Tomography (CT)
NMTCB CT Certification
