Job Description

Our Client, a Healthcare company, is looking for a CT/X-RAY Tech for their Craig, CO location. Responsibilities: Demonstrates advanced knowledge in radiographic procedures, including, but not limited to X-ray and Fluoroscopy, with C-arm, and OR work. Performs all exams based on Imaging Department Protocols or protocols the exam with the Radiologist. Practices radiation safety, adhering to ALARA standards. Ability to operate equipment consistent with manufacturer’s recommendations. Troubleshoots equipment problems and independently calls a service engineer if the malfunction needs outside maintenance. Verifies exam orders, identifies the patient through two means of identification, and provides exam education. Reviews and documents the patient’s medical history, obtains required informed consent, and ensures all necessary paperwork and prior studies are complete and available before submitting procedures for Radiologist interpretation. Maintains accurate patient records in EHR, including charging for procedures and supplies. May be required to perform other functions within the clinic. Any additional training required will be provided. Demonstrates flexibility by assisting in other modalities, adjusting schedules, and taking call, overtime, or holiday shifts as needed. Obtains additional training or certification as required. Assists with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation when required. Assists, trains, or cross-trains imaging staff members as directed. Must be self-motivated, use independent judgment, and be able to work with minimum supervision. Orders, stocks, and maintains supply inventory. Performs other duties as assigned. Demonstrates full commitment to the CHOICE values of client and consistently represents the organization in a positive, professional manner. Establishes and maintains effective verbal and written communication, fostering positive working relationships with patients, staff, and vendors. Adheres to the client attire and dress code in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. Exhibits initiative and self-motivation; maintains a consistent level of productivity and manages time and responsibilities effectively. Completes all required annual education, training, in-services, and licensure/certification updates; actively participates in departmental and organizational meetings or reviews meeting minutes as required. Maintains strict patient confidentiality at all times. Reports to work punctually and completes assigned duties within established timeframes. Actively contributes to departmental and organization-wide performance improvement and continuous quality initiatives. Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, maintaining adherence to departmental, hospital, state, and federal standards and policies. Follows all infection control, safety, and risk management procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients, the public, and staff. Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must successfully pass a background check. Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable). Must complete an Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. ARRT registration in Radiology (R). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or must obtain within 90 days of hire or transfer) Prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist. Cross-trained into other modalities, including, but not limited to: CT, MRI, DEXA, and Mammography. Experience with electronic records, including PACS and RIS/HIS. Why Should You Apply?
