Job Description:

Berklee College of Music is the world's preeminent college for the study of music, where students experience all aspects of the music industry through an interdisciplinary curriculum. Berklee's Cultural Arts Education Administration Internship is an exciting, hands-on opportunity to develop the critical skills necessary to be successful in today's workforce while learning about the management and operations of a higher education institution in the professional arts. Interns at Berklee will engage in paid, hands-on learning in cultural arts education administration, gaining experience in areas such as operations, marketing, communications, community arts project management, production, research, and fundraising.

By working in multiple departments across the institution - including but not limited to the Library, Communications and Marketing, and Education Outreach and Social Entrepreneurship - interns will draw upon their creativity and critical thinking skills and will develop and strengthen skill sets they can parlay into any industry or future experience, including adaptability, accountability, initiative, self-direction, and cross-cultural interaction. Responsibilities may include day-to-day administrative tasks, helping with the operation and promotion of Berklee's programs, creating social media content, assisting in the operations of special productions and events, providing prospective student and family support, and supporting special research projects.

Ideally, this internship suits those interested in pursuing a career in arts administration, higher education, and/or the nonprofit sector. This in-person position is on Berklee's campus, located in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston.

Interns will be expected to work 10am- 3pm Monday- Thursday, for a total of 16 hours/week at the rate of $15/hr (including 1 hour/day unpaid for lunch and breaks), though weekly schedules may vary.
