SummaryThe Healthcare Central Supply Lead & Non-Stock Coordinator is a hands-on operational role responsiblefor the daily execution of central supply activities while coordinating non-stock supply ordering and follow through across the organization. This position does not have direct reports and functions as a peer-level resource focused on real-time problem solving, supply availability, and operational support for patient care.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCentral Supply Operations (Hands-On)
- Actively perform daily central supply tasks including receiving, stocking, issuing, and distribution of supplies.
- Provide informal, peer-level support and workflow assistance to Central Supply staff without supervisory authority.
- Serve as an on-site resource for resolving supply issues, shortages, and urgent clinical needs.
- Monitor inventory levels and take immediate action to prevent stockouts or expirations.
- Assures the daily functionality of the Par Excellence system for patient charging, resolving issues as they arise including downtime and system maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards, safety requirements, and departmental procedures.
Non-Stock Coordination:
- Coordinate and process non-stock supply requests for clinical departments.
- Review requests for accuracy, appropriateness, and cost effectiveness.
- Collaborate with clinicians, buyers, and vendors to identify suitable products and alternatives.
- Track orders, expedite as needed, and ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain documentation for approvals, justifications, and non-stock activity.
Purchasing & Financial Support:
- Enter and manage purchase requisitions.
- Support cost containment initiatives and product standardization efforts.
- Ensure purchase requests align with approved vendors and contracts.
- Communication & Collaboration
- Serve as a primary point of contact for supply availability and non-stock status.
- Maintain strong on-site presence in supply and clinical areas.
- Communicate order status, substitutions, and delivery timelines clearly.
- Partner with Materials Management leadership and clinical teams to resolve issues.
Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.
Complies with System policies and procedures.

Other Experience/QualificationsRequired:
- Reliable execution of assigned duties supporting patient care.
- Accurate and timely non-stock coordination.
- Compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
- Effective collaboration without supervisory responsibility.
- 1-3 years’ healthcare supply chain or central supply experience.
- Familiar with ERP systems,
- Attention to detail, organization, customer service
- Ability to work independently.
