- Location: JBER Alaska
- Shift: Wednesday through Sunday, 6:00pm- 2:30am
CW is seeking a skilled and dependable Custodial Supervisor to support daily custodial operations, uphold high standards of cleanliness, and perform hands‑on cleaning duties while providing guidance and training to custodial staff.
- Lead and train custodial staff in the performance of daily cleaning tasks, ensuring work is completed in accordance with established standards and procedures.
- Perform routine custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restroom sanitation, trash removal, and other cleaning functions as required.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to verify cleanliness, identify deficiencies, and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies, materials, and equipment; notify the Custodial Project Manager of replenishment needs.
- Ensure proper use, care, and storage of custodial equipment, reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
- Respond to urgent cleaning needs, spills, and safety hazards in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate with building management, maintenance personnel, and other departments to address facility‑related issues and support operational needs.
- Assist the Custodial Project Manager in implementing cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and quality‑control measures.
- Promote and maintain a positive, respectful, and productive work environment that supports teamwork and high performance.
What You'll Need to be Successful:
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial, institutional, or industrial setting.
- Experience providing day‑to‑day guidance, training, or direction to custodial staff in an operational setting.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and safe chemical handling practices.
- Strong understanding of various cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Valid Real ID
- Must be able to obtain and maintain government base access.

- Experience monitoring custodial work quality and identifying areas requiring corrective action.
- Knowledge of environmentally responsible cleaning methods and products.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond effectively to urgent situations.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a customer‑service‑oriented approach.

Physical & Environmental Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching throughout your shift to clean and maintain different areas.
- Repetitive motions such as mopping, sweeping, wiping, and scrubbing surfaces.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull cleaning equipment and supplies weighing up to 25-30 pounds regularly.
- Navigating stairs, ramps, or uneven flooring safely while carrying tools or supplies.
- Work is primarily indoors in commercial buildings with varying temperature and lighting conditions.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and solvents—training is provided to ensure safe handling, and personal protective equipment (PPE) is always required.
- Possible exposure to dust, dirt, allergens, and other typical indoor environmental factors.
- May encounter biohazardous materials or bodily fluids (especially in healthcare or public restrooms) with proper safety protocols and PPE in place.
- Working in confined or awkward spaces such as under sinks, behind furniture, or inside equipment areas may be required.
- Noise from vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and other cleaning machinery may be present; hearing protection provided when necessary.
