Job Description
Ensuring that the University is neat and safe as well as accomplishing this in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs routine and comprehensive custodial maintenance of assigned facilities.
- Vacuums, shampoos and spot cleans carpets and furniture as needed; washes windows.
- Removes trash in accordance with established procedures.
- Cleans and disinfects restrooms, locker rooms, and other facilities as specified; stocks facilities with paper and supplies.
- Reports and responds to emergency calls for custodial assistance.
- Identifies stains and uses proper chemicals for removal.
- Maintains inventory and submits written requests for supplies; tests and evaluates new supplies and equipment.
Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:
- Experience with stripping and waxing the floors and shampooing carpets may be required.
- Must be familiar with and adhere to all the safety rules and regulations of the College safety policy which apply to the work environment.
- Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
- Must be able to work in adverse conditions.
- Must be able to work under pressure and with short deadlines.
- Over time on weekends may be required.
- Must be able to work on feet all day.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Minimum Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
